Man With Alzheimer's Disease Reported Missing

A 63-year-old Lake Elsinore man who suffers from Alzheimer's disease has been reported missing and residents are being asked to help find him.

Craig Steneart, who is prone to extreme confusion, wandered away from his home in the 29000 block of Maes Avenue around 5:20 p.m. Thursday, according to Sgt. Marc Cloutier of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Steneart is described as a white male adult, approximately 6’1” tall, weighing about 185 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, red shirt and blue jeans.

Family members reported Steneart missing Friday morning.

“The Lake Elsinore Police Department searched the area with the assistance of the department helicopter, and trained search dogs. As of this writing Mr. Steneart's whereabouts are unknown,” Cloutier said.

A missing person flyer is being distributed to local law enforcement agencies, the sergeant confirmed.
