For a person with severe memory loss, brushing their teeth involves a seemingly endless number of steps to remember.
Getting dressed in the morning presents a similar hurdle.
For a person with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, every day presents a series of insurmountable challenges.
And without proper training and education, the situation is not terribly different for their caregivers.
Despite being motivated and moved by love, family members of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients report feeling discouraged, desperate, confused and even guilty.
But there is hope and there is help.
